Bill Mather is a professional, well established, award winning artist.

Starting out in illustration and advertising in 1984, Bill quickly found a niche in Hollywood, painting liknesses of the stars for movie posters and video packaging. Through that, he worked into painting special effect shots and concept artwork for most of the major movies.

You will see his name in the credits of many films and is an Emmy Award winner. The art work he did in 'Forrest Gump' won an Oscar, and his work in 'Batman Returns' earned an Oscar nomination. He was at the Emmys again, nominated for work he did on Young Indiana Jones.

Having worked in the movie business for over 20 years, Bill has personally worked with the likes of Kim Basinger (image), George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola, Tim Burton, Jennifer Garner and J.J. Abrams to name-drop just a few. Universal Studios and Lucille Ball's family hired Bill to paint the important portraits of her for the 'I Love Lucy' tribute. They have been displayed and admired there since 1987.

Hollywood demands perfection and since Bill has worked in that world for many years, he knows how to naturally make everyone look their very best.

You've heard it before, eyes are the window to the soul and Bill will work on your portrait until there is that unmistakable life spark looking back out of the picture.

Dedicated to his craft, Bill always goes to a life drawing class, or hires models to continually hone his artistic abilities. He has taught figure drawing at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he graduated in 1988. Bill travels extensively to study and absorb all the great art from around the world. Paris is one of his favorites!
